Bug #1019
hdactl-hup required after every app install
0%
Description
Every time I install a new application via the web dashboard, before I can run that application I have to run "sudo hdactl-hup", then it works.
When I install an application, and go to the link (say its... znc. znc.home.com) it says the web page cannot be loaded, thats at znc.home.com or znc/. Then I run hdactl-hup and it works fine. There is no errors in the app log files, or in the app installer log.
If any other information is needed it can be obtained.

Check your hda install log for errors. This is not common behavior.

OK I have two hda-install log files, both pasted below:

There is some indication the install had problems. Recommend you do a fresh install from scratch. I have not seen this problem with other HDA installs. Looks like it may be an isolated incident.

All the files from the only error I saw in those logs are installed, and were installed before trying to install any applications.

True, but still seems like a bad install. Have not had any complaints from anyone else about your issue.
If it was me, I would do a new install, but that is me :)

I guess I'll live with it.

Why? It may be something simple or may not be. Have you done all the patches for Ubuntu?
I recommended reinstall as others have had issues when first installing Amahi. They vary, but it was due to a bad install. When they installed the second time, all was fine.
I would love to figure out what the issue is, but it could be anything. Like trying to find a needle in a hay stack LOL
