Bug #1062
A7 - Plex media server
0%
Description
Upon installing and then clicking on the plex link that shows in the dashboard, it just loads a new amahi dashboard tab.
To get around, need to goto: http://[HDA IP ADDRESS]:32400/manage/index.html
And then everything seems to work fine.
Looks like the app needs to be fixed to have the right link in the dashboard

....and it seems this happens with many apps in the dashboard... the image link from home page launches just another dashboard... AND httpd also seems to conflict with something PLEX is doing

This app is not live for F19, ALPHA status. Problems are to be expected.

Similar issue with the latest Plex app, and F14 amahi version. With F14 it doesnt take you back to the main HDA screen, it just comes up page not found.

Just tested F14 version and it appears to be working correctly. Please check install log to verify if something went wrong.
Still working F19 version, should work now but unable to verify at this time.

I just tried re-installing it, and no, it's still a bug.
The link from the dashboard goes to "localhost:32400/web/index.html" but the localhost needs to be the IP of the HDA, or its alias.

So you are saying if it was hda vs localhost, it would work for you?

it needs to be the IP of the HDA. Perhaps pull it from the ifconfig.
So ideally the url that the app should send users to is..

That is easy to do, but one user has been accessing it via hda:32400/web/index.html.
So I am confused why it would work if it needs to be the IP address. I have tested is using localhost:32400/web/index.html and it worked for me that way too.

This appears to be resolved with the release of amahi-plex and removal of plexmediaserver from the F19 repo.
