As per cpg's request on #amahi, I'm filing a bug concerning the availability of repositories and/or instructions for a 32-bit installation. Also I'd like to see the availability of a 32-bit Express CD, at some point in the future.

For reference, here is the text of the conversation with cpg:

<PatrickDickey> Hi everyone. Is there an ETA on the 32-bit Express CD at all?
<PatrickDickey> And if there isn't an ETA, would the installation instructions for Fedora 14 work as an alternative (using the f19 repositories of course)?
<cpg> back
<cpg> hi PatrickDickey
<cpg> PatrickDickey: i did not think of that option -- of making our packages available for 32 bits. we can help with that
<cpg> PatrickDickey: can i ask you to file a bug for this?
<cpg> darn with the away message
<cpg> PatrickDickey: please do and we can do this. similar instructions to the full DVD install of amahi 7 for development should work
<cpg> basically install (minimal), then add the amahi repo, install a couple of packages and kick off the installer
<cpg> please file a bug. i have to step out for a moment

Temporary installation guidance for 32-bit Amahi 7 is now available in the wiki.

Amahi 7 Express CD for 32-bit may or may not be forthcoming.

  • Status changed from New to Closed
  • Priority changed from Medium to Normal

closing for now. no real plans to attack the 32-bit iso creation process.
