Description

This is referencing to Bug #1145. Please find attached a screenshot of my servers tab. Even though the service is set to start at reboot, it does not. And yes, this is Amahi 7. Should I try a re-install? Will it preserve my settings and wanted list?

Try this as root user
systemctl enable couchpotato.service

Then reboot and see if that works.

Picture is still the same.

Try

chkconfig couchpotato on

Should have worked the other way, but this might. I am going to try on test box shortly.

Seems to be a problem with the pid directory disappearing on reboot. Investigating now and hope to have a solution soon. This also affects SABnzbd Plus and possibly Headphones and SickBeard.

I tried that but still the same.

I think we found an issue that is causing your problem. See bug #1232.
https://bugs.amahi.org/issues/1232

Currently working on a fix, but not estimate as to when it will be ready.

Fix has been completed. Please test and report back.

Now it is working but it does not update itself from the git repo. I'd like to use its build in update function.

#9 Updated by bigfoot65 over 7 years ago

The update should be working as git is a dependency for the app.

When you uninstall, ensure there is nothing left behind. Also check /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log for errors.

But when you do a clean install it is missing the .git folder inside the html folder so how can it update?

#11 Updated by bigfoot65 over 7 years ago

Worked for me last time I tested. Let me do some investigation and get back with you.

#12 Updated by bigfoot65 over 7 years ago

I installed and it says no updates. There is a folder called .gitignore installed. I have been looking at the guidance online and don't see anything about a .git folder.

If you have any guidance to offer, please post the URL here. It appears up to date when I check it. I might be missing something though.

According to the github, 2.2.1 is the latest version. That is what Amahi is installing as well. So that could be why you don't see any updates.

We only install stable releases, not every change made with CouchPotato. Best that way to minimize bugs.

This bug is related to start on reboot. That has been resolved, so closing. If there is a problem with the app updating, please open a new bug.

The Amahi version is current with CouchPotato, so there currently is no issue.

i installed CP and it does not start. I get

Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

someone in the channel said this directory has to be created ..

/var/run/couchpotato/

so obviously there is a bug in this app somewhere. either in the init script or the install script or both.

Updated install script to create /run/couchpotato directory. App installs and is accessible now.
