Description

There are a few DNS aliases which are added on Amahi 7 install, but do not work. The links are broken for:
1. setup
2. help
3. search
4. router

I am using the default Amahi DNS provider, OpenDNS. The HDA is my sole DHCP server as well.

This was initially brought to my attention by another user.

Disregard router as it is working. The other 3 however still take me to:

The page you were looking for doesn't exist.
You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved.

Please report this error in Amahi Forums.

Or if you think this is a bug, better yet, report it in the Amahi tracker under "platform --> new issue".

I have looked at Amahi 6.2 and they all work fine there. There is nothing different that I can see from the dashboard for these betweek Amahi 6 & 7.

These need to be added to the list for the next release. None of the default aliases appear to work in F21.

Recommend removing most of the default aliases (calendar, help, search, setup). Keep router and hda.

ok, part one to eradicate these is done by github commit #5419f91 in hda-ctl.

Verified that router does work despite bug report. Others listed do not though.

#9 Updated by bigfoot65 almost 4 years ago

  • Project changed from Amahi 9 to platform
  • Category set to DNS

This should be a quick fix. I presume removing them from the database would eliminate them from the dashboard.

this is actually, for historic reasons, in the web site. fixed.

new installs will not have these extra dns entries. this needs a little testing on a new install, tho.
