We had an extra question: what is the format of the filename of srt files?
If the filename is known to be in a given format, maybe we can get the player to automatically try to open any srt file(s) automatically.
would it have the exact same name of the movie?
what if there are multiple languages?

Yes it will have exact same name of the movie. Don't need multiple languages support. There'll be only one subtitle file (.srt file) in video folder. for example: video C:/movies/amahi.mkv and according srt should be C:/movies/amahi.srt
