Description

Monit should be configured to use /var/run/mariadb/mariadb.pid as mysql pid

Good catch! Just checked and my Amahi 8 ARM had a monit.log full of:
'mysql' process is not running
'mysql' start: /usr/bin/systemctl
'mysql' failed to start

The server should be renamed in the Servers tab to "MariaDB Server." Also recommend using the mariadb.service to start/restart/stop it as well vs mysqld.service.
