Samba workgroup names can potentially be too long.
Samba workgroup names need to be limited to 15 characters. If it is longer than 15 characters samba will truncate. Not too much of an issue but if the user ever looks in /var/log/messages then they will see a significant number of error messages about the issue.

The change should effect the file /etc/samba/smb.conf
Amahi does not appear to use a nmb.conf file.
The setting that should be truncated is the workgroup name.
The line will be "workgroup = <domain name>"
One user reported that manually changing the file /etc/samba/smb.conf breaks amahi.
Here is a quote from kaits (the user who was kind enough to test changing the workgroup name)
< Mr_Orange> kaits: in what way does amahi break?
< kaits> I cannot access by dns name..
< kaits> and apps don't work
can you clarify which configuration files does this setting go to?
and exactly what setting it is?
(sorry, not want to screw it)
like, smb.conf and nmb.conf, or just one of them?
