Everything was going great with plex until the day it failed to open on my HDA. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. This is what i receive as an error. "DNS lookup failure for: hda" I completed all of the recommended advice from the forum and now have a white blank screen. The recommendations from BigFoot was to file a bug report, which i have done. I am running greypool but not with the plex file and storage of is separate. Thanks for any help ahead of time.

do you know how to edit files in linux as root?
it's dangerous.

you can change "hda" to "localhost" /etc/httpd/conf.d/*plex*.conf

then systemctl restart httpd

and see how things work.

if you are not sure, do not do this.

I have worked in it do i get to the specific file location? What is my other alternative? A tolat flushing of the system and restarting?

I wish i wasn't such a total noob. The fix was so easy that i am embarrassed to share...but for the sake of the community i will not hide my shame. My router crashed and i for got to open the port again. There...i said it. Sorry for wasting your time. I love my homeserver and i appreciate all your efforts.

ok, i'm not sure what that means. i am not sure what you "opened" and how that is related to a seeming dns issue at all.

the only explanation is that it could well be that your client had the router as DHCP (which would not set your Amahi HDA as DNS server), so your clients know nothing about "plex".

in any case, i'm closing it.
