Description

I've recently installed the Amahi Anywhere app on my server. When I look at the server status in the Settings tab, it shows the status as stopped. I've tried both starting and restarting multiple times, but nothing happens.

can you try what's suggested:

sudo systemctl status amahi-anywhere

It should start automatically upon reboot, too. I assume you noticed it did it not come up upon last reboot?

please provide the output for the command above (you can use http://fpaste.org and post a url here, too, if it's simpler than posting a screenshot).

Attached is a screen shot from the command you suggested.

Can you please provide the following in a text file:

tail -200 of /var/log/amahi-anywhere.log

Using the command suggested I receive the following message:

"tail: option used in invalid context -- 2"

#5 Updated by cpg about 4 years ago

tail -200 /var/log/amahi-anywhere.log | fpaste

Interestingly I get an error stating "no such file exists". Going to the directory /var/log, I don't see a file named amahi-anywhere.log.

After trying some other things, I decided to go nuclear and did a full restart of my HDA. Upon restarting the Amahi Anywhere server was running, and I am now able to access my files via the Android app.

Would have liked to know what made it not start, but I gather maybe ir was some local-specific changes. Glad you got it going.
