Feature #2278
app suggestions for packaging under containers
0%
Description
We have a system where we can add containerised applications and we'd like to test it.
If you have a list of apps which we might want to add to amahi (they don't need to be specifically php, they can be anything - rails, node, python) then please add them to this issue. I can see if it is possible to add them to amahi or not.
History
#1 Updated by cpg over 3 years ago
- Subject changed from New Apps for Amahi to app suggestions for packaging under containers
- Description updated (diff)
- Status changed from New to Assigned
- Assignee changed from bigfoot65 to vikasy
Update, I shared the list of suggested apps with @vikasy and he will pick up the "top 10" or "top 20" that may look useful.
so i think you could rate them as follows:
1) grey - useless
2) red -- not clear how we could package it
3) yellow -- possible to package, not high priority
4) green -- possible to package, high priority
I would encourage checking with Amahi apps page also https://www.amahi.org/apps
and definitely post the top few here as we rate them green, so that @bigfoot65 can keep up with us and make suggestions and be in the loop.

566 Radarr!
568 ProcessWire
Can be integrated into amahi. For 568 official image is not present which might be a problem but none the less it's doable.
I have explored just 4 apps so far. I'll keep updating this bug as I go.

How about Logitech Media Server.
Will look for more possibilities.
#4 Updated by vikasy over 3 years ago
Official image available for logitech media server. 158MB. Easy to integrate!

A list of few more apps that are possible to integrate. The list I have is huge and it will take time to filter things.
562 SinusBot -> https://github.com/galexrt/docker-sinusbot
560 Elkarbackup -> Supports existing stack -> php7 + mysql + We can add it without containerizing too but containerizing will decrease the time to add this app to amahi
559 OpenHAB -> Official image available. Size 320 MB. That can be a problem but otherwise all good.
557 Popcorn Time or Moviebox -> Official image available. 380MB image size can be a turn off though. Using apt-cacher and building the image on client sidem ight help solve the problem to some extent.
556 ptokax -> Docker Image available
550 Radicale Calendar/Contact Server -> Awesome. Lightweight. 36MB image.
549 Minimalistic stopwatch -> Doesnt require container at all. Just an html page. All good
547 airvideo -> Official image available. 268MB.
544 sickgear -> Official image available
542 Observium -> Official image available
540 MythTV -> Official image available
537 Koel (Spotify-looking server) -> Official image available
536 UrBackup -> Official image available for urbackup server.

How about Crashplan? That's a popular one.
#7 Updated by vikasy over 3 years ago
Official image for crashplan is available. Can be integrated, wouldn't be a problem!
#8 Updated by vikasy over 3 years ago
Bigfoot suggested crashplan and logitech media server which are already available in Amahi but are presently not working for F-25 and F-26.
I will require access to these apps to add changes for them for F-26.
#9 Updated by bigfoot65 over 3 years ago
Access to both has been granted.
Thanks for working these!

Unable to modify crashplan app. Getting the following error

Though I have access to Logitech Media Server on amahi.org I can't see the app on my hda. What could be the problem?
#12 Updated by bigfoot65 over 3 years ago
The app probably has a convenience fee. It will need to be purchased before you will see it.
cpg can assist with that if needed.

I'll happily test radarr if needs be?
