Description

Installed Fedora 27 and Amahi 11 on an HP microserver with 4 GB RAM and a 1 TB system disk. Previously running Amahi 10 on the same box. Clean install with no errors reported. After hda-install command and final reboot all appears ok until trying to access the dashboard. Get the 'The Dashboard has encountered an exception!' screen. The 1 TB Disk is partitioned with / having most of the space, swap at 3.86 GB, and boot 1 GB. Results of df -h are shown below.

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
devtmpfs 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /dev
tmpfs 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /dev/shm
tmpfs 1.9G 740K 1.9G 1% /run
tmpfs 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/sda3 895G 2.1G 848G 1% /
tmpfs 1.9G 20K 1.9G 1% /tmp
/dev/sda1 976M 87M 823M 10% /boot
tmpfs 382M 0 382M 0% /run/user/1000

I've run the install twice with the same results.

Downloaded iso again and burned new disc. Reinstalled with the same partition parameters as before. Same result. Installed again giving / only 100 GB partiton size. Boot and swap remained the same. Worked this time. Was able to get to the dashboard. So, / partition size matters? What is the maximum size?

Getting a lot of cifs errors. For example:

CIFS VFS: BAD_NETWORK_NAME: \\127.0.0.1\Pictures
CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -2

This happens for each share in the pool.

Sorry. Meant to post the cifs errors in the forum, not here.

The Samba issue has been fixed. There was a file missing from the Greyhole package.
