Description

The default Amahi shares (as viewed under Setup) all have the first letter of the share capitalized (e.g. Books) while the directory locations are all lower case (e.g. /var/hda/files/books). The problem occurs when you add a share. If you add the share Test, the share name becomes Test and the location becomes /var/hda/files/Test rather than /var/hda/files/test. If you add the share test, the share name becomes test (the OC in me thinks this sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the default shares) and the location becomes /var/hda/files/test. It becomes confusing to find files after adding shares, especially for users new to Linux, since Linux recognizes capitalized and lower-cased letters as different.

I believe this is done for ease of use at the terminal.

Linux unlike windows is case sensitive. So you got a display name and a actual file name.

This was fixed a bit ago. The names of the shares in the file system match the names of the shares now.

Available on Amahi on Ubuntu 12.04 release first.
