Description
I experienced this when a power failure made an external USB drive unreachable. I had added this drive via the instructions on the wiki. http://bit.ly/9q5gvt What happened was when fstab could not find the drive, it kicked out to a read only prompt where I couldn't edit the fstab. After some digging, I found that I could mount -o remount,rw and then edit the fstab, comment out the missing drive and boot normally.
I see this as a potential support nightmare! Is there a way to automate, adding hard drives? Or do we just update the wiki to include a work around? Just some food for thought.
