Bug #571
Greyhole ignores shares with spaces in names
0%
Description
I created 3 shares:
Recorded TV
RecordedTV
Recorded_TV
all using the storage pool with max. extra copies.
While observing /var/logs/greyhole.log and copying files to the shares (or greyhole --fsck), the share with spaces is completely ignored.
Duplicate files are created for files within RecordedTV and Recorded_TV shares. Greyhole ignores 'Recorded TV' share.

This is a known, albeit undocumented, limitation of Greyhole.
I'll check where the limitation comes from (I don't remember), and if it's easy to fix, I'll fix.

David: Can you confirm that the greyhole.log says this about your "Recorded TV" share, when you write a file in it?
"Found a share (Recorded TV) with no path in /etc/samba/smb.conf, or missing from your /etc/greyhole.conf. Skipping."

Yes, these error messages do appear in the greyhole.log file.

Thanks.
Thank you!
Thanks for the prompt action.
I am running Fedora 12 x86_64. I installed the new release for 64bit and watched the log file. Greyhole found the directories with spaces in their names and replicated their contents. I did not test the i386 release.
Again, thanks for the quick fix.
Cheers,
