Amahi-Installer fails to start at boot if no Internet Access
This is not definitive, but seems to be the case.
I am installing Fedora14 and Amahi14 at a fixed IP address that has Internet access. On reboot, the system grabs a DHCP lease that requires web authentication for Internet access, so at 1st boot time, there is no Internet access.
On 1st boot http://localhost:2000 does not work.
If I then go and browse some site that then authenticates me and opens up Internet access, and reboot, then the Installer works.
So this test, I changed my firewall to allow the address DHCP lease address open Internet access. This time on 1st boot, the Amahi Installer is working with no problem.
So either this is a bug in the Installer where it does not start on boot and cannot be restarted (I did try that too) even once Internet access is available. Only from booting with Internet access will the Installer work right.
Or update the Installation instructions to make this requirement clear.
