Shared folders have been created but are not displaying in the dashboard

i think the reason is that one app with a share was installed prior to hitting the shares page.

the trigger to kick off the initial share creation is when the user goes into the shares page and there are no shares created yet.

if the user installs an app and that app happens to have a share as part of it, e.g. transmission, the shares page does not trigger the initial share creation.

we need a better trigger.

So for now I need to create them manually? If I then want to do Greyhole, how should I prevent e.g. torrents from becoming crap?

I agree. Not good practice to depend on triggers. I think we need to make share creation as part of the install process. That will ensure they are created properly.
