Description

From a fresh install of amahi when installing amahi-transmission it cannot start with the "-w" argument. Performing an update of the transmission package from yum solves the problem.

Looks like the dependency of amahi-transmission on transmission needs to have its version number increased.

See the thread here: http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=271&p=1295#p1295 for details.

solution is:

yum -y update transmission

ok, test rpm here:

rpm -Uvh http://alpha.amahi.org/noarch/amahi-transmission-0.2-2.noarch.rpm

please test before we release by doing the above as root in your hda.

note: you will probably get an error like this:

Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
1:amahi-transmission ########################################### [100%]
error: %preun(amahi-transmission-0.2-1.noarch) scriptlet failed, exit status 2
make: *** [install] Error 1

please report if you do get it or not. we will fix this later. it's not too easy to fix, unfortunately.

there is a little issue with the previous version uninstalling. please bear with me. the way to uninstall the previous is:

rpm -e --noscripts amahi-transmission-0.2-1.noarch
service amahi-transmission restart

performed the install and everything seems to be ok:

[root@localhost ~]# rpm -Uvh http://alpha.amahi.org/noarch/amahi-transmission-0.2-2.noarch.rpm
Retrieving http://alpha.amahi.org/noarch/amahi-transmission-0.2-2.noarch.rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
   1:amahi-transmission ########################################### [100%]
[root@localhost ~]#

restarted the service and it looks fine :)
